Description of the Project
Our project concerns education. We picked up various problems in the world,
and connected them. We realized that these are all connected to each other.
For example, we recognized that both developed countries and developing countries
have something to do with the environmental problems. But developed countries
are more to blame for these main problems of heavy consumption and a large amount
of garbage.
By understanding and considering "education" as the most fundamental
aspect of our daily lives, we will come to understand and consider both other
cultures and our own culture. We carry out discussions on some topics about
international understanding and global learning. And we use WEB boards and TV
conferences so that each group can make presentations to report what they have
learned through the project.
Objectives of the Project
The primary objectives of this project are to come to understand both other
cultures and our own culture. So we hope to cooperate with other schools all
over the world, by using the Internet, and the ASP net(supported by UNESCO).
Students will develop more consciousness of the issues which they are facing
in their daily lives, and this will promote international understanding and comprehension
of different cultures.
Execution
Through comprehensive studies, there are 3 discoveries in all.Number one: There
are so many problems all over the world and we are connected with them in some
ways. Number two: These problems are not independent but are connected in a
complicated web. That is why we must understand that these issues are worldwide.
Number three: In other words, we can't work on these problems alone. To seek
a solution, it is necessary to cooperate with other countries. Now that we have
an opportunity to talk together directly, we should share our knowledge and
experiences and cooperate. We think that we high school students probably have
dreams or hopes for the future society and how we should live in it. So even
if there are differences of nationalities, cultures, or languages, our hearts
should become connected. Continual exchange like this, will establish the firm
base of the relationship between other countries(especially Asian) and Japan.
