　世界の若者が集う国際会議ワールドユースミーティングではSDGsについて論議を重ねてきました。

これらゴールが達成されれば、「平和で、豊かな社会」が継続発展するのだろうか? どうだろう。

それに向けての道筋として、世界と英語話し合い、その方向を探ってきました。

　アジアの国の多くは、英語をEFLとして学んでいます。授業で学んだあと、一歩学校の外に出ると使う場面がなく、英語力のマッスルメモリーを高めるには、難しい環境です。

　しかし、国々を結ぶ言語は英語です。コロナに勝利しようとしているいま、国際的な連携、情報の共有と乗り越えようとする共通のゴールが、がとても有効であったことを学びました。１８歳で成人年齢を迎える私たちが、「島国の閉鎖性」をインターネットで打ち破り、豊かな世界を作り出したいものです。

　特に「紛争」「戦争」の原因に大きく影響する　身の回りのSDGsについて、点検し、日常的な実践を通して、世界とともに「つながりながら」「実践しながら」SDGｓのもたらす社会をともに支えていきたいと思います。

World Youth Meeting 2023  Theme ”Conflict Resolution Referring to SDGs”

 

The World Youth Meeting, an international conference where young people from around the world gather, has been engaged in discussions about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We have been exploring the path towards achieving these goals and whether they will lead to a "peaceful and prosperous society" through global deliberations.

 

Many countries in Asia learn English as a foreign language (EFL). After studying English in class, it is challenging to enhance our English language skills through real-life application, as there are limited opportunities outside of school. However, English serves as a language that connects nations. In our pursuit to overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic, we have learned the effectiveness of international collaboration and information sharing. As we turn 18 and enter adulthood, we aspire to break the ""Isolated Island Mentality" through the internet and contribute to creating a prosperous world.

 

In particular, we aim to examine the SDGs that directly impact the causes of "conflict" and ”war”  in our daily lives. Through regular inspection and practical implementation, we want to support the society fostered by the SDGs, "connecting" and "practicing" together with the world.

 

Possible Presentation Themes:

 

Nurturing a sense of democracy within school life.

Creating a society that prevents leaders from pushing towards war.

Assessing the level of democracy in our own country.

The people of Russia who couldn't stop Putin.

The significance of voting behavior and awareness of democracy.

The role of education in promoting peace.

Sharing opinions in English: What it means.

The level of peace in your country, as seen by us.

Roadmap for my country to become prosperous (e.g., Nepal, Vietnam)
