  The video conference held on Christmas Eve between
three Taiwanese schools and Dream High School in Japan
was a great success.

  I think everyboby present at the TV conference knew that
it was a wonderful session, so I thought it was unnecessary
to say so, but I realized there are some poeple who are
far away and were not at the conference.  So I thought I should
report the overall conference.

   It started smoothly as scheduled at 13:30 in Taiwan ( 2:30 Japan time)
on Dec. 24, 1998..
  With a nice voice of Ms Li Min-lee ( Sylvia ) acting as a MC, every
presentation
prepared by 4 schools was shown on the screen one by one in order.
Taiwanese students seemed cheerful and confident in speaking English.
A boy student from my side was nervous at first but gradually, he felt
very close to Taiwanese students. It was a first time for him to speak
on the video conference and first time to talk with Taiwanese students
Other two girls from my side were energetic and talkative and very
happy to meet Grace ( a Taiwanese student ) again, this time on TV.
They liked to perform the Japanese games.  I think they were feeling
as if they were movie actresses.  The idea of singing Christmas song
was nice.  Every student from 4 schools stood up and sang at the
end of the conference.  The conference was a nice present for every one.
